Nyírség Méz Kft. began as a Hungarian family-owned business and has since grown into a key player in the country’s honey industry. For over four decades, our company has specialized in the procurement, processing, and export of premium-quality honey. Our core activities include sourcing honey directly from beekeepers, processing it using modern technology, and delivering it in customized formats tailored to client needs.

The company’s leadership brings more than 45 years of experience in honey production and trade. Over the years, we have earned wide industry recognition and built a strong network of trusted partners. In response to increasing demand, we established a high-efficiency processing facility in Nyírbátor in 1998. Today, we operate from a modern site covering more than 50,000 m², including over 5,000 m² of insulated, reinforced-concrete warehouse and production space.

Our production processes fully comply with European Union standards and are subject to strict quality control protocols. We first obtained certification in 2001, and since then we have continuously maintained a food safety system audited by DNV, including full HACCP compliance. In addition, we operate under the IFS Food quality assurance system, with consistent results exceeding 95% compliance. Currently, we meet the requirements of IFS Food Version 8. Our operations in honey processing and packaging are also certified by Biokontroll Hungária, verifying that we are authorized to handle, process, and distribute organic honey products in Hungary.

Our company continues to grow steadily year after year and now exports to over 11 countries. Our key export partners include major food producers, retail chains, and international distributors throughout the EU who value our reliability and consistent high quality.
