Introduction
As per our company profile, Nyírség Méz Kft. was established with the purpose of purchasing honey from beekeepers then processing and selling it. The company's management has been engaging in the production and sales of honey for over thirty years; in the meantime these efforts have transformed into a valuable expertise. In addition to our professional experience, our technological background, too, is outstanding in the region. After 1991, owing to the rapidly growing amount of honey to be processed and in order to ensure that the production quality and processes comply with the standards of the European Union, a new plant needed to be constructed. The Nyírbátor honey factory was built in 1998, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies, which enabled the plant to produce honey both in jars and barrels. Consequently, in 2001, the company received a HACCP system certification audited by DNV (Det Norske Veritas). Since the early 2000s, we have kept developing. As a result of these improvements, the company is characterised by dynamic growth. Our key accounts are extracting and bottling plants, industrial users, food processors and retail chains. Our motto is: 'quality products for quality buyers'.
